Views vary by seat, but the waterfront tables and bar area keep the inlet close at hand. High-tops with stools are mixed with regular-height tables and chairs, so the room can work for a quick round with friends as easily as a longer, sit-down meal.

Food stays in the straightforward bar-food lane: grouper and mahi-mahi sandwiches, Cuban sandwiches, clam chowder, loaded nachos and fries. It is a menu that makes sense when one person wants a meal and another only wants something to share alongside a cocktail.

The blackened grouper sandwich, served with onions and cheese, is a notable choice. The mahi-mahi sandwich has also been served as a generously sized portion with fries, giving the seafood side of the menu a little more substance than the usual basket-and-bites routine.

Loaded nachos are an easy table order when the band is playing and nobody wants to pause the conversation for a formal meal. A full bar covers cocktails, beer, wine and nonalcoholic drinks, with free soda refills available.

A visit can be as simple as claiming a seat at the bar, ordering a drink and watching the boats. For food, one service format has guests ordering at the bar and receiving a buzzer for pickup when the order is ready.

It is a good distinction to keep in mind when choosing a time to go. Daytime is better suited to sunshine, water watching and a quieter drink, while a performance night brings a livelier outing that may be more about music and company than lingering over the menu.

Two resident cats, Grey Goose and Fireball, have been known to roam around the bar. They add a little personality to a setting already full of moving parts: boats at the marina, birds near the dock and a lighthouse across the inlet.

There is indoor seating as well as patio, terrace and bar-area seating, but the outdoor environment remains intentionally beach-bar casual, with sand underfoot and waterfront exposure.
